CPB 2 is a ‘4 moves to open’ puzzle box. This box type has a lid that is hinged with a small recessed area inside the lid half of the space. This locking system can be put into any box that is as shallow and has similar characteristics.  This locking mechanism I refer to as a “chase” lock since one move needs to be completed before the next and so on.  A simple mechanism that can be made just from the scraps found in your shop.  A clever “starter” mechanism is introduced in this plan that requires the separation of two parts before the “chase” can happen.  Easily built about an hour.
